New Edition of the Magazine (Echoes of the Great Green Wall)

January 7, 2026

The PAGGW publishes a new edition of its Magazine (Echoes of the Great Green Wall): at the heart of the Great Green Wall’s actions

The Pan-African Agency of the Great Green Wall (PAGGW) makes available to its partners, member States and the general public a new edition of its institutional magazine, supported by BirdLife International, a key tool for information and sharing dedicated to the progress of the Great Green Wall for the Sahara and the Sahel Initiative.

Through this periodical publication, the PAGGW pursues its commitment to transparent, accessible and results-oriented communication, by highlighting the major initiatives, the ongoing projects, as well as the dynamics of regional and international cooperation around the fight against desertification, land restoration and community resilience.

This edition, focused on biodiversity, looks in particular at:
•  the flagship actions carried out in the member countries,
• the key institutional and partnership moments,
• the innovative initiatives contributing to the sustainable transformation of Sahelian territories,
• the strategic prospects for implementing the Great Green Wall.
More than a simple newsletter, this magazine aims to be a space for showcasing collective efforts, a vehicle for advocacy and a tool for mobilisation in favour of an Africa that is more resilient in the face of climate, environmental and socio-economic challenges.

The PAGGW invites all its partners and readers to discover this new edition, to share it widely and to take ownership of the key messages it conveys, in a spirit of collaboration and lasting impact.
