Restoring 30% of degraded ecosystems by 2030 — the Great Green Wall's regional contribution
CBD Target 2 commits Parties to placing at least 30% of areas of degraded terrestrial, inland water, and coastal & marine ecosystems under effective restoration by 2030. The Great Green Wall — a flagship pan-African initiative across 12 Member States — directly addresses the terrestrial component of this commitment in one of the world's most degraded regions.
